My roots are in the Appalachian hills of Kentucky. I grew up in the sand and sun of Fort Myers Beach. I spent my early adult years as a trailing spouse of a career Soldier and raising two boys. When those boxes were checked, I invested myself in academics and research to produce a poorly written dissertation that I love. My husband and I have shed the baggage of belongings and are wandering the world. Now, I work to travel. I read to write. And I love deeply the people and things that remain in my life.
